Features free beaches, surfing, fishing, boardwalk with shops & amusement rides, accommodations to suit every need, fine dining, and exciting night life. can be found throughout this clean, friendly city. Activities include ocean walks on the boardwalk and beach, bike rides, outdoor concerts, tennis and more.
Wildwood
Features free, wide, white, sandy beaches and the boardwalk, built at the turn of the 19th century, stretches along the beach for more than a mile and a half. A convention center, 4 amusement piers, hundreds of souvenir and novelty shops and a variety of restaurants, ethnic food stands and salt water taffy shops line this wooden walkway. Summer season offers special events including Concerts, Parades & Conventions, Classic Car Shows, Kite Festival, Festivals & Craft Shows, Life Guard Races, The National Marble Tournaments, Wrestling Matches, Doo Wop Tours and Fabulous 50’s Weekend.
Night life offers a wide variety of restaurants and bars with live entertainment, and the carnival-like atmosphere of the boardwalk’s attractions. Inexpensive accommodations of every kind are available. The back-bay area hosts hundreds of private, charter and party boats for daily bay and deep sea fishing excursions. Sight seeing and whale watching trips as well as sailing, jet skiing and motor boating are available from most Wildwood docks.
Wildwood Crest
Located between Wildwood and Cape May, Wildwood Crest’s free, 3 mile beach offers a serene, family-oriented atmosphere, with swimming, sailing and sunsets. Accommodations include beachfront and bayfront modern motels and condominiums.
The west side of the island features a picturesque park overlooking Sunset Lake offering sailing, water and jet skiing, sightseeing boat tours, and beautiful sunsets. Fishing boats leave Wildwood Crest ports daily starting in early April and run through October. Summer activities include basketball courts, teen and adult dances, craft shows and free outdoor concerts.

BEACH INFORMATION

There are NO beach fees (tags) in the Wildwoods. No glass containers, barbecues or alcohol, please. Beach access is restricted 10 pm to 6 am from May through September.

North Wildwood: Permitted on 2nd Avenue.
Wildwood: Permitted at Taylor Avenue.
Wildwood Crest: Permitted from Rambler Road to Primrose Road & Aster Road to Cardinal Road.
